There's nothing better than a little baby's toes! Sweet as can be. How lucky I am that I get to take pictures of something so lovely? I just love to see all the sweet babies I get to photograph. Not much could make me smile more. If I'm really lucky I'll get to capture sweet babies many, many more times. Thanks to the mommas and daddies who let me do just that.

Serenity - Three Months Old
This photo shoot was special, because I got to take photos of Serenity's mom during her pregnancy and then when she was two-weeks old. I'll get to photograph her two more times, at 6-9 months and then when she's one-year old. It's such a neat opportunity to photograph a baby as they grow. I'm excited to see her when she's older and see how her personality blossoms.

The Natzke Family
Meet the Nazke's. What a sweet family to photograph. I was an assistant to their wedding photographer (my BFF!) and to be able to photograph them now as a family with their beautiful, sweet son was really an honor. Tyler is SUCH a cute baby!
We met in Orange Circle in Orange, California, one of my favorite places. It's filled with antiques and old buildings. I can't wait to post more photos later. It was such fun photo shoot!

Peyton
This is Peyton Rae. She is three months now and has won my heart. She is such an easy baby to take photos of it was like cheating. She just gazed around smiling, blowing bubbles and speaking that most loveable baby language, gibberish. I had lots of fun meeting her and taking her pictures. I just can't wait so see her grow and take more pictures of her! All the pink makes me happy too!!

To Cry or Not to Cry
That was the question.
This strange person coming at her with that weird black thing attached to her face that makes lots of noise and bright lights.
It was touch and go. Through it all, she is gorgeous!
I can't get enough of those deep clear eyes and rosebud lips.
Such a beautiful girl to photograph.

Daddy's Girl
Isn't she sweet? This is Serenity. Poor little thing just wanted to be held and not manhandled for three hours until I got all the shots I needed. And I didn't mind holding her, that's for sure! My favorite thing about this shoot: I asked the mom the day before if she had a tutu. She didn't and I looked for one at a baby store, but couldn't find one either. Oh well. She will still be a cutie in her pictures, I thought. When I arrived at their home in the morning there was a sweet tutu on the table. Serenity's daddy stayed up the night before and made her a tutu! I couldn't believe how sweet it was. It will fit her too when I take her photos later as she grows. This really warmed my heart. He even put little bows on it. I'm thinking, she's definitely gonna be a daddy's girl. ♥

When a baby is born, a mom is born.
"When a baby is born, a mom is born."
I heard this quote on TV the other day. I think it is so sweet. That must be such a magical moment. Like no other.

When I took this photo I asked the family if they could just take the pictures and I just wanted to hold her:) She was the teeniest, sweetest little thing! I was really nervous going to take these pictures. I hadn't really taken pictures of such a teeny baby and I was afraid to move her all around. But, it was so much fun!

A Fear Conquered
I recently photographed my first wedding on my own. I've assisted many times for my dear friend Melissa, but always vowed never to go it alone. I was too terrified. But I took the plunge. I learned lots of lessons if I should do one again, but in the end it was actually fun! The bride and groom were the most gorgeous two people I've seen. She was so beautiful and graceful and so easy to photograph. She was so nervous and it was adorable. She hadn't seen the groom and as her mother pinned on her veil, she snuck a peek out the window to the wedding isle where her groom was waiting. I could see in that moment her nerves calm and all she saw was him waiting for her. She was peaceful in that moment. It was beautiful. This has to be my favorite shot from the day. Nothing posed, completely natural.
I conquered a fear that day and was witness to the beauty of the love these two shared.
