Sometimes I have the hardest time deciding if a photo should be left in color or turned black and white. Sometimes they are both equally beautiful. How do you decide?
You are totally right. The example you gave is a superb one. Aren't we so very lucky that digital photography gives us an easy choice? Still vaguely remember the days when you had to actually choose which film you'd use, lol! Oh, and while the colors in this photo are really wonderful, I do think I prefer black and white
WOW- I don't know!!! They are both so stunning! I have a hard time with this as well- may times I will just ave both & post them separately for different things.
I LOVE B&W, BUT, the colors in a hydrangea are so stunning and beautiful, each one unique.... so I'm with you, how to decide??? I love both. But also think like the above post, sepia would be pretty too!
I also have a hard time with that sometimes. I just read in a book though that a great color photo will also make a great B/W photo. Isn't that the truth with your example?
I know what you mean...naturally you see the picture in color then you manually have to change in to black and white, depending on the color variation and the light depends on how it will look in black and white. I think I'm going to pick black and white in this case.
Sepia... :)

Gorgeous Macro shots! I'd say both!
ReplyDeleteMy Macro, have a great weekend.
very pretty colors both ways!
ReplyDeleteMir gefällt die Farbaufnahme besonders gut, aber schwarz-weiß sieht auch toll aus...

Beautiful, both ways!
ReplyDeleteI almost always like color better, but that's just my opinion! I do like how the texture comes out in the b&w though. It's pretty both ways, though.
ReplyDeleteI honestly prefer the colored one :) lovely shot. thank you so much for joining 'Earth Wonders' with it. truly wonderful :)
