It's been chilly here in California. I won't say "cold" because I know we have no place to complain about being cold that's for sure compared to those folks suffering through icy blizzards! I'll just say it's cold for Southern California.
I went to Disneyland the other day and you would've thought it was the middle of Spring! Blooms bursting everywhere. Petals dripping from stems stuffed in hanging baskets. Perfect rows upon rows of pansies. Poppies rolling out before you like a the red carpet.
I even said "I want to be a gardener here!" You listening Mickey???? Call me up.
I'd love to have flowers all around me if I could. One day I want a big english garden with pathways and little nooks to sit and read in. Chairs to lay on cuddled in a quilt with a book. Flowers growing high and dangling down from above. My cat lounging in the sun and a puppy rolling in the grass.
I'll keep dreaming it into reality.
We met this little guy on our walk at the Fullerton Arboretum. He just sat and waited while I took lots of pictures of him. He almost has a little grin. We saw the last lingering flowers hanging-on resisting the inevitable coming of Fall. I snuck some grapes and tomatoes from the little fenced off gardens. I couldn't resist. I ate a teeny red pepper and it burned my mouth like crazy! That's what I get for being "sneaky."
