Lucky

Lucky. I don't know if that's the right word or not. Sometimes God surprises you when you least expect it. When you've given up hope. Hanging on a thread. Then he sends you someone who is just the person you needed.

I met my now boyfriend in high school and knew he was special. But, things didn't work out then. I thought that was just the way it was supposed to be. But, somewhere in my heart, he was never far. Then after many years and through many trials for both of us God brought us back together. When least expected. Then suddenly we were back together again. Side by side. Lauging non stop, being silly, sharing all the things we have in common, which is so much. Never knowing through all those years, we worked just a few blocks apart. Went to the same store in the same building I work in. Shopping at the store in the center he worked in. Never seeing each other, but crossing paths day in and day out.

Now he's here. The one that let's me be me just as I am, encourages me to go for my dreams and shoot for the stars, who wants the best for me in every way. The one that laughs at my silly jokes that aren't funny and when I snort when I laugh. The one that spoils me. The one who's talent amazes me. The one who's humor cracks me up. The one that comforts me and makes me feel safe. The one who gives great advice and words of encouragement.
